Barrister Ehsaan Ali Qazi is the co- founder of Mumtaz & Brohi. He obtained his law degree from the University of Wolverhampton (United Kingdom) in 2004 and was called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2005. His legal experience spans over fifteen years, and covers matters from corporate advisory, commercial transactions and litigation. Mr. Qazi is an accredited mediator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mr. Qazi has been providing his services in legislative drafting. His valuable contributions are the drafting of “Investor Protection Bill for Islamabad Stock Exchange 2008”, “Private Equity Regulations”, “NBFC Regulations”, and “Federal Pensions Bill 2010”.
Mr. Qazi specializes in civil engineering and construction disputes in relation to which he has appeared before the Arbitrators on behalf of the organizations such as National Highway Authority, Rakhshani Builders, Mohmand Construction, and SAMBU Construction Co. Limited.
Mr. Qazi has been nominated and appointed as an arbitrator in various arbitrations with regard to matters such as Feasibility Preparation and Project Management Consultancy for a District Road Resource Management Sub-Project between the Government of Pakistan and Roughton International UK and construction dispute between contractor and EMAAR – DHA.
Mr. Qazi has been advising several Hydropower and Solar power projects to ensure compliance with relevant RFP and the applicable hydropower and solar power policies at the bidding, LOI and LOS stage. He has also assisted in the creation of appropriate corporate substructure required to undertake power projects in a manner that reduces cost of transaction and flow of international investment and repatriation of profits.
