Arbitration and Alternate Dispute Resolution is one of the core practice areas of our firm. We advise clients with regard to resolution of disputes in all areas of general and special practice in a broad range of industrial sectors including construction, oil and gas, telecommunications. Having previously acted as consultants for the National Highway Authority (NHA) we have represented it in complex high-stake arbitrations mostly pertaining to FIDIC based construction disputes pertaining to road works. We regularly conduct arbitrations and appear before dispute adjudication experts/boards for private contractors against government authorities in construction related disputes. Currently, the firm is involved in various construction arbitrations for Sambu Construction Co Ltd (South Korean Company) against NHA pertaining to Lowari Tunnel Project and against Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for the Golen Gol Hydropower Project. The firm is also engaged by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd, one of the biggest Chinese State-owned company, in relation to its disputes with NHA on the Sukkar-Multan Section of Peshawar Karachi Motorway. Our Partners have also acted as court appointed arbitrators in several construction disputes between contractors and the employers.
