Our firm specializes in contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to the construction industry. Our lawyers have advised the NHA, National Logistic Cell, Sambu Construction Company, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Rakhshani Builders (Private) Limited, Daelim Industrial Co Ltd, Maqbool – Calsoons with regard to all aspects of construction disputes. Further, we have advised our clients with regard to EPC contracts pertaining to Hydropower projects. These include representing clients in complex high stake arbitration matters as well as generally advising them on concession agreements, public private partnership contracts, FIDIC and non-FIDIC based construction contracts, and matters relating to land acquisition. On behalf of FWO, our firm drafted and negotiated Concession Agreement, (having a project cost of Rs. 44 billion), for conversion of NHA’s 4 lane Karachi Hyderabad Superhighway into a 6 lane Motorway (M-9) on a Public Private Partnership basis. Our firm also advised FWO with regard to Financial Close of NHA’s M-2 Motorway rehabilitation and modernization project (Syndicated Term Finance Facility of around Rs. 26 Billion). We also prepare due diligence reports and feasibility studies, draft construction agreements, procure permits and licenses from local authorities and government undertakings, assist in project bidding, project management issues, and draft employment and labour agreements. We assist our clients in acquiring and developing properties.
